Completed
We have completely finished the scheduled maintenance without any downtime of our web application. We started the maintenance at 23:00 CET, and had completed the planned switch of database systems by 23:16 CET. We restarted data crawling systems at that time, and by 00:06 CET we had processed the backlog of mentions and were tracking data in real-time again.
We did however notice a problem in the Sentiment Detection Service. This was resolved by 01:08 CET, and by 02:12 we had re-processed all data that had come in between 23:00 and 01:08.
We have been monitoring the application for any other unexpected side-effects, but haven’t noticed any irregularities.

Due to the scheduled maintenances of Tuesday and Thursday we have been able to migrate core database systems without significant application downtime. We thank you for understanding.

Update
All mentions that still had missing sentiment detection have now been re-processed. Everything is now working as expected.

Update
Mentions for which sentiment was not computed (between 23:00 CET and 01:08 CET) are now being processed again. We expect this backlog to be ready and recomputed in about 1h. Meanwhile new data has been entering real-time, and without problems.

Verifying
We have addressed the issue with sentiment analysis. New mentions will be coming in with the correct sentiment attached to them. We will now start the process to recompute sentiment for data that came in between now and the start of the scheduled maintenance.

Update
We have processed the backlog of delayed mentions. We can confirm that data is entering in realtime again now. We are still working on addressing the issue which is causing new mentions to come in without sentiment analysis as mentioned in our previous update.

Update
All systems have successfully restarted except for the Sentiment service. Mentions are currently being crawled and added to your Inboxes again and all is working as expected, except for the sentiment indication. We are aware of this situation and our engineering team is investigating the issue with the highest priority.

All mentions will temporarily come in as neutral. Once we have resolved the problem, we will recompute sentiment for these mentions.

In a few moments we are starting our scheduled maintenance for the app.engagor.com environment (us.engagor.com will not be affected). During the maintenance the website and API might become unavailable or unresponsive at times.

During this maintenance we are migrating a few data services to newer hardware for increased performance and security. When the maintenance is over, data crawling systems will have a delay equal to the period the site was taken offline.

We will communicate about the maintenance’s progress via this status page.

During this maintenance the site might become unavailable or unresponsive at times. When we bring the site back up again, data crawling systems will have a delay equal to the period the site was taken offline.

On January 17th, from 11pm CET till 12pm CET (5pm ET - 6pm ET), we will do scheduled maintenance on our database infrastructure for our app.engagor.com environment (us.engagor.com will not be impacted).
The maintenance is planned to increase security and performance of the said system.

This is a second scheduled maintenance to do further improvements to our main database infrastructure. This scheduled maintenance will be for the same reason as this maintenance, and will have similar impact. We have decided to split it up, to reduce the impact of each maintenance window.

Because the database is the central point for all configuration data, we will have to take the site off-line during the maintenance. We schedule an hour for this, but are confident we will have this done a lot sooner.
When we bring the site back-up again, data crawling systems will have a delay equal to the period the site was taken offline, after it comes back these delays will restore in the minutes after that.
We will communicate about the progress of the maintenance on this status page, as well as inform users in the tool via the Notifications menu right before the maintenance.
